This will not be an opportunity for me to enhance my portfolio, but rather to assist you in developing your skills as a photographer. I will have my camera and tripod available to demonstrate particular concepts and ideas. The workshops will be limited to 5 individuals so that I may spend quality time with each photographer. Get a group together and let's go play in nature. Click the photo to get started.
All full day workshop participants will receive a complimentary 11x14 print of your favorite image of the day. Photographers of all skill levels are welcomed to participate. Preferable gear necessary are a DSLR/ SLR camera and a tripod to steady your camera due to low light levels during sunrise/ sunset. Your camera manual might also aid in learning different camera settings as well.

SAMPLE WORKSHOP
A sample workshop might consist of meeting in downtown Chattanooga to shoot the bridges or Delta Queen as the sunrises, followed by coffee and breakfast at the Stone Cup Cafe, with a discussion of the days first shoot. After breakfast, we would carpool up through Dayton, Spring City, Grassy Cove, and Ozone, TN to capture some old barns and waterfalls.

After breakfast, we would carpool up through Dayton, Spring City, Grassy Cove, and Ozone, TN to capture some old barns and waterfalls.
Ozone Falls would be a nice area to spend some time discussing composition and creative ways to capture waterfalls. There is also a picnic area where the group could enjoy lunch and more discussion regarding photographic concepts, technics, and ideas. Ozone and its surrounding areas offer plenty of historic barns and great country landscapes to capture as well.
After meandering through the country and photographing landscapes and old barns, the third leg of the workshop would carry us through Crossville where we could try our skills at some architectural photography or travel east to gather some images in Cumberland Mountain State park. The iconic Byrd Creek Damn constructed of Crab Orchard Stone is the largest masonry project ever completed by the CCC back in the 1930's.
This is another great area to photograph and to spend some time reviewing what we have learned thus far as a group. Since the sun should be close to setting, we would head East through Bledsoe and Sequatchie Counties with the potential of one more stop to capture our last landscape image with the receding sun before traveling to either Chapel Hill Church in Dunlap or continuing up Signal Mountain to capture the sunset as it sets over the Sequatchie Valley.
After our final image, we would continue back to our original meeting destination (about 30 mins) and conclude a full day of photography. If this is something that sounds appealing, then please, click the trees, and lets get started.
